As I was thinking of what to do I realized hat any creature could be done. At first I wanted to do some sort of centaur thing, but I really like dragons so why change. I might still do something in that vein though since I rally enjoyed thinking of things that would work for the concept.
I wanted to create this creature from things that could be found around the house. There is a little deviation in scale for a few things, but over all I tried to keep it mostly realistic.
For the chest I thought it would be cool for the hull of a ship to look like ribs, and I could imagine that there is a miniature viking ship in someones house. The neck is from a Tonka toy backhoe. As I wanted it to be a dragon it had to breath fire, so there's an oxy/acetylene torch strapped to his flanks. The wings are for show and do not allow it to fly, but they are made from scrap cloth and the metallic corner pieces used in drywalling. The front feet are for clawing and are made of aviation sheers (tin snips), While the back feet are made for digging and made of hand shovels.
I wish I had more time, but ultimately I just need to speed the hell up. This took me about 10-12 hours today. This was done with a pencil sketch and photoshop CS4.
No comments and only one favorite? What's wrong with people? I love this concept, it's really cool, and the detail is amazing. It was really fun to look through this and identify each piece. Good luck!
Hmm, maybe. I think you did a wonderful job, and it's very nicely put together and imaginative. It popped out to me, because I could see it was different and had time and thought put into it. And of course, you're quite welcome.

Thanks again, I appreciate it.
